Murex Americas is looking for a Staff Accountant within the Finance Department overseeing activities in the Latam region.

This position is located in the Murex offices in Santiago de Chile. You will report to the America’s Accounting Manager located in New York and assist her with accounting and administration activities.

The ideal candidate is a motivated professional possessing relevant experience and demonstrating strong potential for growth. If the candidate demonstrates dedication and commitment, the role will naturally broaden in scope and complexity, leading to an increased responsibilities within the South America region.


What you’ll do​:

  • Processing of reimbursable employee expenses.
  • Managing all vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, tax treatment, and PO compliance.
  • Generating and managing purchase order numbers when required.
  • Period-end accounts closing tasks, including general ledger entries.
  • Work closely with other members of the Finance Team to ensure completeness of transactions for monthly close.
  • Prepare annual closing closely with Accounting Manager and Financial Controller based on auditors’ PBC list and group timeline.
  • Ensuring transactions are complete, timely, and compliant with group timelines and controls.

Who You Are (Profile & Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting in a multinational or regional shared‑services environment.
  • Strong understanding of GL accounting, AP processes, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Sage, SAP, Oracle…).
  • High proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and MS Office.
  • Advanced English mandatory.
  • Detail‑oriented, analytical, self‑driven, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multicultural teams across several countries.
