Corporate IT Support Specialist

The Work You’ll Do

The Corporate IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing quality and professional desktop support to Sovos employees. This may include performing system generation of new PCs or laptops, hardware upgrades and data conversions, hardware troubleshooting assistance, peripheral troubleshooting, and other support issues that are related to the end user systems for employees.


More specifically, you will:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Respond to and resolves issues reported by Sovos employees
  • Utilize ticket tracking system to document results of problem resolution sessions
  • Perform basic user administration on servers
  • Maintain responsibility for system preparation, including software installations and user configurations, for new and rebuilt systems for employees
  • Perform software installs, minor hardware repairs/maintenance, and assists with moving employees' desktop equipment
  • Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate initiative, drive and determination to achieve results, success and growth
  • Proactively manage high severity and priority incidents from identification to resolution and escalation to appropriate group
  • Participate in emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule
 
What We Need From You
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Advance English
  • Desired Experience: VMware, Hyper-V; Basic network troubleshooting and have worked in part of a server migration process. 
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, while effectively focusing on priority issues
